Halol, 42 km from Vadodara and about 7 km from Champaner, is an important historical place. Sikander Shah, ruler of Champaner who was assassinated in 1526 AD was buried here along with his two brothers. A beautiful stone structure with fluted domes, though simple, is quite remarkable in its aesthetics and craftsmanship.
